Muesli with Nuts

With fibre and protein-rich grains like oats and wheat, muesli is a great way to start your day. This version of muesli with nuts is even tastier and healthier, as walnuts and almonds improve the omega-3 fatty acid content in your diet, keeping blood cholesterol levels in check. With a bit of sweet and a lot of crunch, muesli with nuts can be an anytime snack that you can munch on, even without milk or fruits. You could even try it with low-fat yoghurt for a change. In any case, consume in moderation as it has a lots of nuts and honey too.
- Heat the honey in a small non-stick pan on a slow flame for 20 seconds. Remove from the flame and keep aside to cool.
- Combine the oats and wheat bran and lightly toast them in a non-stick pan over a slow flame for 5 minutes.
- Cool completely, add remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Store in an air-tight container.
