High in Omega 3 Fatty Acids recipes





Omega 3 Fatty Acids are essential for our body and found certain foods. Vegetarian foods rich in Omega 3 Fatty acids are Flaxseeds, Chia Seeds, Walnuts, Soyabeans, Peanut Butter, Olive Oil.

For Vegetarians, Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) is a type of Omega 3 fat found in plant foods which cannot be manufactured by the human body. Hence being a Vegetarian you must consume foods rich in Omega 3 like Flaxseeds which you can put into your smoothies and salads or breads like Almond Flax Bread with Eggs. Chia Seeds which can be had as a drink with some honey, lime and water or as a pudding like Coconut Chia Seeds Pudding with Mixed Fruits and Walnuts.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids are good for your heart and also have an anti inflammatory effect on the body. They are good for your neurological functioning and harmonal production. Omega 3 rich foods are known as good fat sources. Indians consume far too much Omega 6 fatty acids mainly from vegetable oils which are not good for you. So increase your diet in Omega 3 fatty acids and significantly reduce Omega 6 consumption. Say yes to Olive oil and no to Vegetable Oils. Say yes to Walnuts, Flaxseeds etc in your daily diet.
