High Fiber Recipes for Pregnancy recipes

Constipation is one of the most common problems during pregnancy, which most women face during some time throughout the nine months of gestation. The pressure of the growing uterus on the rectum and the increase in the hormone progesterone which causes relaxation of the muscles of the digestive tract are two major culprits of constipation during pregnancy. Some women experience it during the first trimester due to sudden change in hormones while other may experience it in the last trimester due to increase in the size of the uterus.

A high fiber diet is what will relieve for constipation. So opt for whole grains, fruits (unpeeled when possible), beans, seeds and all vegetables of your choice. Include these, while avoiding the refined and fried foods as they are devoid of fiber completely.

Flax seeds crackers with Beetroot Dip, Oats Methi Multiflour Khakhra, Baingan Methi Subzi, Zucchini Bell Pepper and Sprouted Moong Salad are examples of few recipes which will add enough fiber to your diet while also making up for the necessary antioxidants.
