Butter is a dairy product that one definitely uses in their daily life, especially in India where people prefer making white homemade butter to eat with garam parathas.
Homemade Butter
It is made by churning fresh cream till the milk fat starts separating from the liquid – thus forming chunks of butter. This homemade white butter can be had salted or unsalted but the market version is mostly salted butter. Since butter is mostly 80% fat, it should not be consumed in high quantities but is great in moderate quantities.

Even though salted butter might seem like a foreign concept, it is actually one of the basic ingredients in many Indian dishes. From being a topping on the piping hot Butter Garlic Naans and Aloo Parathas, to giving the rich taste to butter pavs and Pav bhaji, butter is loved by all!
The best thing about butter is that it is not restricted to any particular cuisine in India, but it is generally used all over the country for its richness.
