Ten Nice Ways to Enjoy Your Toast

Bread toast is one of the most favourite breakfasts across the world. Some people like it crisp, while others make it medium-crisp. Some cook it on a tava while others use an oven or pop-up toaster. Surprisingly, there are innumerable ways to enjoy your toast. You can make a simple breakfast out of it, with honey, butter and jam, or load it with veggies, cheeses and seasonings to make an exotic snack. Brush some olive oil on your toast and sprinkle some herbs on it, and you have an elegant starter for your party.

You can take two slices of toasted bread and sandwich it with yummy ingredients, or you can make an open toast that shows off its contents and tempts the diners! The best part about toast is that you can make it as you like it. The general thumb rule is to spread something soft (be it butter, olive oil, cheese or mashed avocadoes) and then top your toast with whatever ingredients you want, so that there will be some binding. Alternatively, you can avoid the fatty stuff and use a sauce or a subzi to keep everything together!

Your toast can be done up the desi way with Pav Bhaji Masala, aloo bhaji or other wondrous tongue-ticklers from the Indian repertoire, or you can make it conventionally with cheese and salad veggies. For an international touch, you can go for spreads like hummus or pesto, or sauces like hoisin or soy sauce.

Enjoy ten exciting and exotic toast options. From evergreen delights like the Mixed Vegetable Open Toast to unique ones like the Toasted Hummus Sandwich with Vegetables and the Yellow Moong Toast, you will find ten interesting choices to pick from.

A tasty aloo masala packed between slices of bread lined with tongue-tickling chutney, the Masala Toast is surely one sumptuous snack that will keep you going for an hour or two. The unique stove and toaster used to make this Masala Toast is a typical trademark of street-side food. However, in this recipe we show you how you can recreate the magic using the utensils in your own kitchen. Also, mind not the prodigal portions of butter used to ensure even grilling of the toast! Forget the calories and relish this piping hot, topped with crunchy sev.
Here is a unique sandwich, which brings together a range of exotic veggies, a spicy garlic hummus, and toasted whole wheat bread. The combination of ingredients is such that you get the best of taste and mouth-feel! This adds josh to the sandwich, while also giving it a unique Lebanese touch. The tangy, spicy, creamy hummus is also extremely easy to make, making this sandwich an absolutely no-fuss recipe. This crunchy and super tasty toast is then served with a topping of cheese and pizza sauce. Every bite of the Palak Toast Topped with Pizza Sauce and Cheese shows off its exciting blend of flavours and textures to your taste buds! When you apply the palak mixture to the bread, press it well with your fingers to make sure it binds well. Otherwise, it will separate when frying the bread. You also need to be a bit tactful when deep-frying the palak-coated bread. Make sure you fry only one piece at a time, and take care when turning the slice around to avoid oil splashing out. Although a bit of care is needed while making this recipe, it is completely worth the effort because the super-tasty result is very unique and special. In this mouth-watering creation, buttery bread slices freckled with aromatic sesame seeds are toasted with a creamy filling of hung curds and mayonnaise perked up with crunchy veggies. A seasoning of herbs and spices gives the Creamy Mixed Vegetable Toast Sandwich a very appetizing aroma and irresistible flavour. The texture of this sandwich is also very special, because you can distinctly feel the crunchiness of the toast as well as the creaminess of the filling in every bite. To achieve this, it is important to hang the curds for enough time, till all the water drains and the curd is really tick. Otherwise, the filling will turn soggy as you mix the ingredients together.
