Everyone loves Thai food. Its spices and pastes are similar to Indian cuisines and hence its easy for Indians to love this fantastic cuisine.

Thai cuisine is an interesting confluence of flavours and cooking styles. Thailand has been influenced in its past by Chinese, Malay and Indian cuisines. The Thais have skillfully adopted and adapted various techniques and made them their own. All the recipes in this section have been selected keeping in mind locally available ingredients without compromising on the authenticity of each dish, but to suit Indian palate.

The most frequently used flavouring ingredients are lemon grass, chillies, ginger, soya sauce, Kaffir lime leaves and sugar. These ingredients represent sweet, salty, hot and sour flavours all of which are delicately balanced to maintain perfect harmony in each dish. Thai Dessert Recipes

At the end of a meal, most Thais usually eat only fresh fruit which is artistically carved elevating a simple dish to a delicacy. Desserts are for more formal or special occasions.

You would have had desserts like Gulab Jamun or carrot halwa with Ice-creams. However, Thai Style Bananas is refreshingly different, and quite unlike anything you might have tried before, because the banana fritters that form the base of this dessert are made with a sesame-tinged batter, which imparts a very appetizing aroma to it. The addition of coconut further enhances the texture of these fritters, making them quite exciting to bite into. This is served topped with mouth-watering vanilla ice-cream.
