falafel recipe | Lebanese falafel | Lebanese falafel stuffed in pita bread | homemade falafel in pita bread | with 41 amazing photos Falafel is a middle eastern deep fried snack (Lebanese snack). It is an Arab food. falafel are great source of protein as they are made with kabuli chana. Falafels are usually fried but if you are looking for healthier option you can also bake them! Falafel bullets are made with soaked overnight and drained kabuli chana (white chick peas) , garlic (lehsun) ,onions, parsley, coriander (dhania), mint leaves (phudina) and cumin seeds (jeera) powder all ground together in a food processer. And the mixture is then taken out in a bowl and green chilli paste + baking powder are added to it and mixed together. Small balls are equally shaped out of the mixture and fried. Further to make Lebanese falafel stuffed in pita bread we have made a dip using curd, garlic, spring onion and sugar. Then the leavened pita bread is lined with tongue-tickling garlic chutney, topped with a tangy curd dressing and packed with scrumptious deep-fried Lebanese falafel ‘bullets’ made of a kabuli chana batter. I would like to share some important tips to make the perfect falafel recipe. 1. Mix well and our falafel bullet mixture is ready. If making falafel for the first time and you are afraid of the falafel disintegrating, then add 1-2 tbsp of refined flour for binding. 2. You can make the tahini dip in advance and store in the fridge. This Middle-Eastern falafel is quite filling, and looks and tastes exotic as well, so you can serve it with tea or at a party too. Serve the Falafel as soon as you assemble it, because it will get soggy if you let it soak in the dressing for too long. Hummus recipe | Lebanese dip | Indian style hummus | healthy hummus dip | with 25 amazing images. I have been making hummus Lebanese dip in my Indian kitchen for over 20 years. This is an easy, simple Indian style hummus recipe to follow for Indians, as we always have chickpeas in our kitchen. Hummus has a unique flavour of chickpea, olive oil and parsley. Very healthy to eat Indian style hummus with cucumbers or carrots and great for weight loss and Endurance Athletes. Notes on hummus Lebanese dip. 1. overcooked chickpeas work great too. If you want the chickpeas to go soft, you can add a pinch of cooking soda while pressure cooking so that the chickpeas cook properly. 2. Wait for the pressure to drop naturally before opening it. If you open it in a haste, the chickpeas will not have cooked properly. 3. Drain the kabuli chana. Tip: Keep aside some cooking water of the chickpeas to add to the blender if required. This liquid will give a smooth consistency to the hummus. 4. Finally add curd to the mixer. This might seem unusual but a few middle-eastern countries replace tahini with yogurt in their hummus for a tangier taste. If you want, you can avoid the curd and put tahini instead. Hummus, the famous traditional Lebanese spread, has a creamy chickpea texture. It tastes fantastic when served as apart of a mezze platter with Pita Bread or vegetables. We always gain a deep satisfaction from preparing exotic, international foods in our own kitchen, isn’t it? Here is your chance to make Lavash, the all-time Mediterranean favourite. With mild scents of olive oil and the strong aroma of toasted sesame, Lavash is a bread par excellence. Bake them fresh, allow them to cool and turn crispy, then serve with a cheesy or tangy accompaniment. The taunting aroma of freshly baked bread is sure to make one overeat!

Muhhamarra means ‘reddened’ in Arabic, and that hints at the nature of this recipe. Hailing from Syria, Muhhamarra is typically a hot and spicy dip made with dry red chillies. Here, we have modified the recipe to moderate the spiciness, so it would appeal to all. In this version, walnuts, garlic and red chillies team up with a sprinkling of pomegranate seeds for aroma and bread crumbs for volume and texture. The Muhhamarra is an unusual dip, with a texture similar to hummus. Use a small mixer jar to ensure proper grinding, and serve fresh with pita strips.
This is aromatic, flavourful dish that comprises of cooked dalia, tossed in with spring onions, parsley, tomato cubes, and toasted sesame seeds, olive and salt. Orange zest and orange squash adds a great citrusy flavour to this dish that is meant to be eaten chilled! Plan a "Arabian Delight" menu for dinner and serve this salad along with Herbed Hummus , Lavash , Labneh with Crispy Vegetables , Falafel and Baklava .
