Delectably different, Fattoush is a Lebanese salad made by combining toasted and chopped pita bread with the choicest of veggies and herbs.
The texture of this salad is truly out-of-the-world, as it combines the crispiness of toasted bread with the juicy crunchiness of veggies. A simple but flavourful olive oil based dressing adds to the charm of this salad, making it an incomparable treat.
- Place a pita bread on a clean, dry surface and brush it with olive oil on both the sides.
- Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes or till it turns crisp and golden brown spots appear on both the sides.
- Cut the toasted pita bread into 25 mm. ×25 mm. (1”×1”) cubes.
- Combine all the ingredients, along with the dressing in a deep bowl and toss well.
- Serve immediately.
