Starter Recipes, Veg Indian Snacks

Cutlets can be made using a wide range of vegetables, chopped, boiled and mixed with spices, bounded by cornflour, plain flour or bread slices, sometimes coated with breadcrumbs/semolina to give a crisp texture and finally relished with ketchup and chutney. You can shape them round, cylindrical or heart-shaped. In other places, it is known as Veg Patty and is used to make burgers and other snacks. From simple French fry to complex fried delights such as Risotto Balls, Mozzarella sticks crispy treats span an array of ingredients and coatings. Some coatings are thick like a batter, while others are light and extra crispy. So, whatever crunch level you’re looking for, here are some great deep-fried snacks to try at home. Go to your subziwala and ask for Talegaon potatoes (for people residing in Maharashtra) or potatoes with a higher starch content popularly known as french fries potatoes, chip potatoes and make everyone’s favorite French Fries. Use various ingredients from your pantry to create innovative French Fries Topped with Pizza Sauce, Mexican French Fries, French Fries in Barbeque Sauce or Masala French Fries. Serve them immediately on preparation while the Fries are still crisp. These fries taste lovely as they are and also make an exciting accompaniment to Burgers .
