This traditional Bengali specialty is one of my favourite recipes and I recommend that you give this one a try.

This recipe proves that poppy seeds and potatoes are a match made in heaven!

Method
  1. Heat a non-stick pan and dry roast the poppy seeds till they turn pink. Coarsely grind them in a mixer and keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in the same pan, add the red chillies, turmeric powder and ground poppy seeds and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add the potatoes and salt and sauté for 2 to 3 more minutes.
  4. Serve hot.

This Bengali vegetable is so easy to make with lots of Khus khus. The combo is just very good and so little ingredients used to make this.
