Sweets recipes

If the meal itself is loaded with rich ingredients and dairy products, just imagine how grand the mithai of this region would be! Indeed, the sweets of Punjab are sure to warm your heart and pamper your palate with their richness and memorable flavour. From Phirni and Rice Kheer to Fruity Phirni , Dry Fruit Barfi, and other favourites, we are sure you will enjoy all the recipes in this section.

The Phirni is a common preparation in most Punjabi households and is traditionally served in earthenware bowls called ‘shikoras’. These are popularly known as ‘matki phirnis’ and are served at most punjabi restaurants and functions.

Khoya-based barfis are a delight to savour, because they have a rich milky flavour and amazing melt-in-the-mouth texture. This particular Dry Fruit Barfi is all the more special, because it also includes loads of dry fruits and nuts along with delicate spices too!
