Using cottage cheese to prepare kheer gives you a rich mouth-feel and flavour without labouring over the milk for too long. You will be delighted to see your kids lick of this delectable and protein-rich Paneer Kheer up to the last drop!
Garnishing with nuts reinforces the kheer with more protein and other nutrients too, making this a wonderful snack or dessert for growing kids and adults too. You can even opt to serve this kheer at parties, because it tastes delightful both hot and cold.
Method- Combine the milk and sugar in a deep non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 5 to 6 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Keep aside and allow it to cool completely.
- Once cooled, add the cardamom powder and paneer and mix well.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and serve chilled garnished with almond and pistachio slivers.
