अजवाइन छोटे, सीधे, अंडाकार आकार के बीज का एक सामान्य नाम है, जिसमें बहुत तेज़ सुगंध होती है। यह एक पौधे का फल है जो अपियासी परिवार से संबंधित है। इसे अधिकतर साबूत बीजों के रूप में बेचा जाता है, क्योंकि यह भारतीय खाना पकाने में सबसे आम रूप है जिसका उपयोग किया जाता है।
