Kids Sweet Treats recipes
Last Updated : Sep 15,2018
Who doesn’t have a sweet tooth or two? Everybody loves sweets, whether they admit it or not. Kids especially are so fond of sweet treats that it kind of makes them feel good! They need the energy too, so unless your kid is obese or diabetic or advised a diet by your doctor, a sweet or two once in a while is not going to harm!
While the previous generation of kids lost their hearts to rich and aromatic Indian sweets like laddoos, halwas and chikkis, now the children are exposed to international options too, such as chocolates, cakes, cookies, biscuits and mousses. So, while the traditional Indian mithai continue to be hot favorites, there are more contenders in this space today.
Like adults, children also have their own personal preferences. Some like warm, gooey, chocolaty desserts, while others like light, semi-sweet treats. Some like their desi delights while others crave for chocolates and ice-creams. On the other hand, there are many kids who like all things sweet!
Kids’ tastes also vary from season to season. Of course, our palate tries to sync with the weather, doesn’t it? Hot weather calls for something cool and light, while cold weather calls for something warm and rich. So, here’s what we think are ideal for the two main seasons…
When preparing sweets for kids, try to rope them into the activity! Since it is something they love to eat, they will be glad to help, and it will gradually introduce them to the wonders of the kitchen. As they grow older, they will willingly start cooking and enjoying their time in the kitchen. You can ask them to mix or shape the dough, decorate the cake, cut the biscuits, stuff the poli, and other simple tasks that they will also enjoy doing.
You will be spoilt for choice as you start exploring each category of sweets on our website. Not only can you find one for every occasion, but with a sudden spark you might also create your own marvellous one. Not just that, you will discover healthy options too, such as baked sweet treats with less of sugar and fats.
It is fun to make sweets for your kids at home. The innocent, unmasked eagerness in their eyes as they wait to taste the sweet treats is worth a fortune! Not only that, it is also much more satisfying as you are assured of the purity and quality of the food your child consumes.
So, enjoy every moment of cooking for your kids, and don’t even think of it as work. It’s a pleasure. And remember, the sweets taste even sweeter when they are garnished with your love!
