Greens other than methi and palak are not eaten with interest. While aluwadi is famous in gujrath and maharashtra alu is not available all the time. This serves as a healthy substitute for aluwadi.

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     4Makes 4 serving

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well into a soft dough, without adding water.
  2. Divide the mixture into three parts and make long roles of each part.
  3. Steam the roles in a steamer for 5 minutes.
  4. Cool for half an hour.
  5. Cut each of the roles to get circular pieces.
  6. Heat the oil in a pan and shallow fry each piece till they turn golden brown and crisp.
  7. Serve hot garnished with coriander and coconut.

This is such a innovative way of using unpopular leafy vegetables. I tried this and it Everybody including my son liked this. I will certainly try other such uncommon receives . Thanks for giving new approach .
