The method for making lemon grass tea is very simple To proceed making the lemongrass and mint tea we have first washed and cut the lemon grass and mint leaves. Pour water in a pan and let it boil. Add lemon grass. Lemon grass is good for hair, skin and also has calming properties and helps relieve insomnia and stress. Add mint leaves, helps in detoxification and cleansing. Further, add jaggery. You can also use honey or organic sugar instead of jaggery. Bring to boil. Lower the flame and let it reduce, it will help the flavors infuse and make our lemon grass tea more aromatic. Strain and serve fresh lemongrass tea hot.

For Lemon Grass Tea
- 1/2 cup lemongrass (hare chai ki patti) , finely chopped
- 1/2 cup mint leaves (pudina) , finely chopped
- 1 tsp tea powder (chai ki patti)
- jaggery (gur) to taste
Method
For lemon grass tea
- To make lemongrass tea, combine the lemon grass, mint leaves and jaggery with 5 cups of water in a pan and bring it to a boil.
- Lower the flame and simmer till it reduces to about 3 cups.
- Remove from the flame, add the tea powder, cover and allow it to infuse for a few minutes.
- Strain the lemongrass tea and serve hot.

To make lemon grass tea | fresh lemongrass tea | lemongrass and mint tea |, wash and cut lemon grass into small pieces using a scissor.

Also, we will be using some mint leaves in this fresh lemongrass tea recipe, so remove them from the stem.

Wash and finely chop the mint leaves. Keep aside.

Pour 5 cups of water.

To make the fresh lemongrass tea, in a saucepan, take the lemon grass. Lemon grass has calming properties and helps relieve stress and insomnia.

Add mint leaves. Same with pudina, they have been picked, washed and then added to the lemon grass tea. These help in detoxification and cleansing.

Add jaggery for sweetness. Jaggery can be swapped with any organic sugar or honey. To enhance the flavour of your cup of lemongrass tea, you can also add green tea leaves, lemon juice, ginger root.

Mix well and bring it to a boil.

Lower the flame and simmer till it reduces to about 3 cups. The flavours will infused and the leaves would steep & become aromantic.

Remove from the flame, add the tea powder. These are optional and you can skip if you don’t want caffeine in your tea recipe.

Cover and allow it to infuse for a few minutes.
