A very flavourful and aromatic paste of sesame seeds and olive oil seasoned with salt, the Tahini Paste is a valuable addition to several Lebanese dishes.

It can be used in dips , spreads and other dishes. You will find that the use of oil-rich sesame seeds gives this paste a very unique taste that is both creamy and nutty.

1/2 cup sesame seeds (til)
2 tbsp olive oil
salt to taste

  1. Heat a broad non-stick pan, add the sesame seeds and dry roast on a slow flame for 1 to 2minutes.
  2. Cool completely, add the olive oil and blend it in a mixer till smooth paste.
  3. Use as required or store it in an air-tight container.

Very useful. I could add it to many of my dips and sauces to give it a nutty flavor. Also my Lebanese Hummus dip tastes much better after using this paste.
