The sizzling sound of a ‘Sizzler’ makes one’s mouth water. It is a fun dish to have in a restaurant, especially when you are dining with a close friend or family. A sizzler tray is a wooden tray over which a metal tray is placed, and heated until red hot. Now, a variety of foods are placed on the sizzler tray and a little water is sprinkled to create the sizzling sound and to continue the cooking process without causing the food to burn.
Preparing a sizzler is no easy task though – you need to prepare many of the ingredients well in advance. There are many types of sizzlers that you can prepare, usually combining rice or noodles with chunky veggies, spicy sauces and bite-sizes snacks like kebabs or tikkis. The components of the sizzler are chosen such that there is a variety of flavours and textures, while also being very visually appealing.
