What more can one ask for! oregano imparts an italian touch to this snack, which has been sautéed in a non-stick pan to cut down on the oil used for cooking. Besides, serving the sizzling mushrooms with brown bread helps enhance the fibre and other valuable nutrients.

Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 cup thickly sliced mushrooms (khumbh)
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced onions
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced tomatoes
- salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
- 1/2 tsp cornflour
For Serving
- 8 toasted whole wheat bread triangles
Method
- Heat a sizzler plate over an open flame till it is red hot.
- Heat the oil on the plate, add the onions and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the tomatoes and sauté on a medium flame for another minute.
- Add the mushrooms, salt, oregano, chilli flakes and cornflour, mix well and sauté on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Place the plate on a wooden tray and serve immediately with toasted whole wheat bread triangles.

I love mushrooms so this was a very good choice for me. A very simple recipe with simple flavours and a good starter or could also have for dinner.

Behaad lajiiz ... mushroom mostly mein khata nahi...darsaal pasand hi nahi... par yeh recipe ne meri soch hi badal di mushroom ke baare mein.

I am a huge fan of mushrooms.. The chilli flakes and oregano are the main flavour enhancers in this sizzler. Served with brown bread is the best starter for party....
