Iron being needed to make blood and deliver oxygen to the cells, its deficiency results in lethargy and slowed mental function. This juice is apt to keep anaemia at bay.
It has the goodness of spinach, beetroot, apple and orange. Spinach acts as iron builder whereas apples and beetroot impart little sweetness.
Oranges are added to benefit from its high vitamin C content, which in turn has a helping hand in enhancing the absorption of iron.
Enjoy the drink with nutritious snacks like Mini Nachni and Bajra Khakhra , Shepu Sweet Idlis or Vegetable Corn Bake .
- Add the spinach, orange segments, beetroot cubes and apple cubes a few at a time in the hopper.
- Add some crushed ice in 2 individual glasses and pour equal quantities of the juice over it.
- Serve immediately.
- This recipe doesn’t turn out good in a juicer because the textures of ingredients like beetroot and carrot are very hard.
- This recipe makes use of unpeeled fruits and vegetables, hence take care to clean and wash them well before chopping, to get rid of dirt, germs and chemical residues.
