I used medium poha to make this deep fried yummy poha for diwali. This is a Maharashtria dish made for diwali faraal.

We can even make this poha for breakfast or snack too.All time favourite snack.Try this out!

Yummy Poha recipe - How to make Yummy Poha

2 cups medium beaten rice (poha)
1 tbsp peanuts
1 tbsp roasted chana dal (daria)
1 tbsp sliced dry coconut (kopra)
1/2 cup coriander (dhania) leaves , washed and dried
a few curry leaves (kadi patta)
salt to taste
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 tsp chaat masala
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/2 tsp roasted coriander (dhania) powder
1 tbsp raisins (kismis)
1 tbsp cashewnuts (kaju)
oil for deep frying , as required
  1. Heat oil in a kadhai . When oil becomes hot fry poha and keep aside. Then fry peanuts, roasted chana dal, dry coconut, raisins, cashewnuts one after another and keep aside.
  2. Fry the washed dried coriander leaves and keep aside on absorbent paper.
  3. Finally add mustard seeds and turmeric in the oil, use as required while mixing.
  4. Take a big bowl and mix all the above fried ingredients
  5. Serve immediately or store in an air tight container.

  1. While serving you can add chopped coriander leaves, finely chopped onion or cabbage with lemon juice.
