5-spice Vegetable Stir-fry recipe - How to make 5-spice Vegetable Stir-fry

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     4Makes 4 servings

10-15 small cubes of tofu
5 broccoli florets
4 mushrooms (khumbh) , sliced
1/2 carrot , diced
2 garlic (lehsun) cloves , crushed
2 tsp chinese five spice powder
2 tbsp grated ginger (adrak)
2 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp groundnut oil
1/2 tbsp dry sherry
salt to taste
  1. Combine the garlic, five spice powder, ginger, soya sauce, groundnut oil and dry sherry in a bowl and mix well.
  2. Add the vegetables in the bowl and cover, mix well and marinate for 10 mins in the refrigerator.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees or heat oil in grill pan and add the vegetables and grill till the skin is brown.
  4. Serve hot.
