What is haldi ka doodh | hot turmeric milk | made off? hot turmeric milk is made from ingredients available in every Indian kitchen : 1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi), 1 cup milk, 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper (kalimirch) and 1 tsp honey (optional).
This is what haldi looks like. Turmeric powder is a bright yellow spice powder made from dried turmeric rhizomes. While its slightly peppery and warm flavour; vibrant colour; and preservative properties make it a great culinary ingredient, the presence of ‘curcumin’ makes is suitable for cosmetic and medicinal purposes too.
