Cooked Rice Kheer recipe - How to make Cooked Rice Kheer

1/4 cup long grained rice (basmati)
2 cups milk
1 cup condensed milk
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
1 tsp ghee

For The Garnish
sliced almonds (badam)
sliced pistachios
  1. Heat the ghee in a broad and deep pan.
  2. Add the rice and saute till the rice turns pink in colour.
  3. Add the milk, mix well and cook till the rice becomes soft.
  4. Add the condensed milk and sugar, mix well and cook, while stirring contiguously.
  5. Garnish with pista and almonds.
  6. Serve hot.
