quick pizza sauce | Indian Homemade pizza sauce | pizza sauce with fresh tomatoes | with 22 amazing images
Quick Pizza Sauce is the soul of any great pizza, adding the perfect balance of tanginess, spice, and aroma that defines the flavor of the dish. This Indian Homemade Pizza Sauce made with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and herbs gives your pizzas a rich, authentic taste that easily rivals store-bought versions. What makes this recipe special is that it’s prepared using fresh, ripe tomatoes, ensuring a natural sweetness and deep red color without the need for preservatives. The combination of olive oil, garlic, and onions creates a flavorful base, while the blend of oregano, chilli flakes, and tomato ketchup adds a deliciously herby, spicy, and tangy punch.
To prepare this pizza sauce with fresh tomatoes, start by blanching the tomatoes — making small criss-cross cuts at the base and boiling them briefly until the skin begins to peel. Once cooled, peel, deseed, and blend them into a smooth pulp. This step ensures the sauce is silky and evenly textured. In a pan, olive oil is heated with garlic, releasing its aromatic essence before adding finely chopped onions for sweetness and depth. The sautéed onion-garlic base provides the sauce its characteristic Italian flavor, which pairs beautifully with pizzas, pastas, and baked dishes alike.
The true magic of this quick pizza sauce recipe comes from its blend of spices and seasonings. Once the tomato pulp is added, it’s cooked with dried oregano, red chilli flakes, tomato ketchup, and chilli powder. These ingredients work together to create a perfectly balanced flavor — oregano adds earthiness, chilli flakes bring mild heat, and tomato ketchup enhances tanginess while deepening the color. The addition of a pinch of sugar balances the acidity of the tomatoes, ensuring the sauce tastes rich and rounded. The result is a vibrant, thick, and flavorful sauce that forms the perfect base for your favorite pizzas.
What makes this Indian-style pizza sauce stand out is its adaptability. You can make it spicier by adding more chilli flakes, or herbier by increasing oregano or basil. It can also double up as a pasta sauce or dip, making it versatile enough to use in multiple dishes. Whether you’re making a classic Margherita, vegetable pizza, or even cheese garlic bread, this homemade sauce adds depth and freshness that pre-made sauces can’t match. It can be prepared in advance and stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, saving time for future quick meals.
In conclusion, this Homemade Pizza Sauce with Fresh Tomatoes is not just quick and easy to make, but also healthier and far more flavorful than store-bought alternatives. Made with fresh ingredients, natural spices, and no preservatives, it’s the perfect companion for any Italian or fusion dish. Its rich aroma, smooth texture, and perfectly balanced tangy-spicy flavor make every bite of pizza irresistible. Whether you’re a cooking enthusiast or just want to upgrade your homemade pizzas, this Quick Indian Pizza Sauce is the ultimate recipe for that authentic pizzeria-style experience — simple, wholesome, and bursting with fresh tomato goodness.
Apart from pizza, you can use this quick pizza sauce to make appetizers like Pizza Crackers, Risotto Balls with Pizza Sauce, Pizza Bombs and surprise your friends and family with delightful starters.

We freeze our pizza sauce in bulk at home in Mumbai. This is great when you want to make pizza's in a hurry for your kids or even for yourself. The frozen pizza sauce lasts for 3 months. So i suggest you to make larger batches of pizza sauce. We freeze in a steel container and make a big batch using 2 to 3 kg of fresh tomatoes. You could use a plastic container to freeze. Before using, take out the amount of frozen tomato sauce and keep out for 45 minutes or defrost in microwave oven.
