Anjeer Dry Fruit Squares recipe - How to make Anjeer Dry Fruit Squares

150 gms dried figs (anjeer) , soaked in milk for 15 minutes
25 gms grated mava (khoya)
1/4 cup powdered mixed nuts
few drops rose essence
1/2 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
1/4 tsp nutmeg (jaiphal) powder
2 tbsp milk powder
3 tsp ghee
3/4 cup sugar
  1. Heat 2 tsp ghee in a kadhai, add the soaked figs and saute till it becomes soft.
  2. Add the sugar, mix well and cook till the water evaporates.
  3. Add the mava, nuts, mix well and cook till it leaves the vessel.
  4. Add the rose essence, nutmeg powder and cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. At the last add 1 tsp ghee to give shine to the mithai.
  6. Pour this on a greased plate and cut to pieces and serve.
