An adaptation of the famous Mexican dish.

For The Dough
3/4 cup maize flour (makai ka atta)
1/2 cup plain flour (maida)
3 tsp oil
3/4 tsp salt
oil for deep-frying

For The Stuffing
250 gms finely chopped paneer (cottage cheese)
1 chopped onion
2 green chillies , chopped
salt to taste

For Baking
6 tbsp grated processed cheese
1 recipe hot sauce

For the dough

  1. Mix the flours. Add the oil and salt and make a soft dough by adding water.

For the stuffing

  1. Mix all the ingredients together.

How to proceed

  1. Roll out the dough into thin rounds about 100 mm. (4") in a diameter with the help of palin flour. Prick lightly with a fork.
  2. Deep fry in oil very lightly.
  3. Dip immediately into the hot sauce, fill with a little stuffing and arrange on a well greased baking dish.
  4. Pour the remaining hot sauce and sprinkle the cheese over it.
  5. Bake in a hot oven at 450°f for 20 minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
