  2. Prefer to use Alphonso mangoes as their sweet taste is sure to lure babies.
  3. Consult your pediatrician before introducing curd to your baby. Discuss about the variety of curd to use.
  4. Using fresh curd is very important. There are high chances of baby rejecting Mango yogurt if the curd is even slightly sour.
  5. Always remember to watch for allergies, if any, when feeding Mango yogurt for the first time.
  6. Begin with a small quantity and gradually increase it.
  7. Remember to sterilize all the equipment and feeding bowls and spoons before use.

For Mango Yogurt for Babies

  1. For Mango Yogurt for Babies, first select the perfectly ripe mango. Alphonso mangoes are the best variety to begin with as they are sweet and loved by most babies. You can find out when a mango is ripe by the sweet smell that it gives out. Always pick mangoes with fibrous and firm skin. Ensure that there are no blemishes or black spots on the skin. Check the area round the stem – if it is plump and round, it indicates that the mango is ripe.
  2. Wash the mango very well with clean water to make it free of dirt if any . Wash it under running water to prevent any sort of contamination.
  3. Wipe it with a clean kitchen towel.
  4. Peel the mango using a peeler.
  5. Make vertical cuts and then horizontal cuts at equal distance and finally run the knife just close to the seed or the pith to get roughly chopped mangoes. There is no need to chop the mango very finely.
  6. Transferr the mangoes to a mixer jar.
  7. Add fresh curd, preferably made with cow’s milk. Use curd only after consulting your pediatrician.
  8. Blend to obtain a smooth puree.
  9. Attractive orange coloured Mango Yogurt for Babies is ready. Feed it to your little one with love.
