Garlic Chutney is a fiery, flavorful, and aromatic Indian condiment that pairs perfectly with tikkis, kebabs, and a variety of snacks. Made primarily from fresh garlic (lehsun) and red chilli powder, this chutney delivers a bold punch of flavor that enhances any savory dish it accompanies. The addition of lemon juice brings a hint of tanginess that balances the spice, while a touch of salt rounds out the taste. This garlic chutney for snacks is a must-have in Indian kitchens for those who love strong, spicy, and tangy flavors.

To prepare this garlic chutney for tikki, simply combine ½ cup peeled garlic cloves, 6 tablespoons red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon lemon juice, and salt to taste in a mixer jar. Blend the ingredients together into a smooth and thick paste, adding just a few teaspoons of water as needed. The natural oils released from the garlic help achieve a rich, creamy texture without the need for much liquid. Once blended, the chutney should have a bright red color and a sharp aroma, signaling its robust and fiery flavor.

This garlic chutney for kebabs is an excellent accompaniment to seekh kebab, hara bhara kebab, paneer tikka, and even aloo tikki. The combination of spicy chilli and pungent garlic beautifully complements the smoky and grilled notes of kebabs. It can also be used as a spread on rolls, wraps, or sandwiches, adding a spicy kick to your favorite snacks. When mixed with curd or oil, it can even be turned into a marinade for paneer or chicken before grilling, giving the dish a deep, flavorful coating.

One of the reasons this garlic chutney is so versatile is its strong and long-lasting flavor. A small spoonful can elevate even the simplest dishes, from pakoras and samosas to vada pav and bhajiyas. It can also be served alongside dosas, parathas, or chillas for those who prefer bold, spicy sides. Its natural antibacterial properties, courtesy of garlic, make it not just delicious but also beneficial for digestion and immunity. The lemon juice helps preserve it longer and adds a refreshing zing that cuts through the heat of the chillies.

This chutney is also easy to store and use. Once prepared, transfer it to an airtight glass jar and keep it refrigerated — it stays fresh for up to 2 weeks. The flavor intensifies slightly over time, making it even more delicious after a day or two. Since it’s made without oil or preservatives, it’s a healthier alternative to store-bought spicy sauces. If you prefer a milder version, you can adjust the quantity of chilli powder or mix in a bit of tomato puree to reduce the heat.

Overall, Garlic Chutney for Tikki, Kebab, and Snacks is a spicy, tangy, and flavorful condiment that adds instant zest to any Indian dish. Whether you serve it with crispy street food, use it as a dip or spread, or mix it into your marinades, this chutney promises a burst of authentic Indian spice in every bite. It’s simple to make, requires minimal ingredients, and enhances both traditional and modern recipes alike — truly a must-have chutney for spice lovers and food enthusiasts.
