How to proceed

    How to proceed
  1. Heat the oil in a kadhai, dip a few apple wedges in the batter at a time and deep-fry in oil till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.
  2. Pierce each apple fritter with a toothpick and place on a plate.
  3. Pour the warm syrup in one bowl and pour ice-cold water in another bowl.
  4. Dip each fritter immediately in the warm syrup and then in ice-cold water. This will cause the syrup coating to harden so the fritters will be crisp and crackling on the outside surface like a toffee.
