Ingredients
12 spinach (palak) leaves
1 tsp sweet chutney
1 tsp green chutney
a pinch of black salt (sanchal)
a pinch of cumin seeds (jeera) powder
a pinch of chilli powder
a pinch of salt
1 1/2 tsp oil for greasing and cooking

To Be Mixed Into A Smooth Thick Batter
1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
salt to taste
5 tbsp water
Method
  1. Dip 2 spinach leaves in the prepared batter and place on a greased tava and cook using ¼ tsp of oil till both the sides turn brown in colour.
  2. Repeat step 1 with the remaining spinach leaves and batter.
  3. Break them into small pieces using your fingers and put in a deep bowl.
  4. Add the sweet chutney, green chutney, black salt, cumin seeds powder, chilli powder and salt and toss gently.
  5. Serve immediately.
