Mooli Pakoda recipe - How to make Mooli Pakoda

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 serving

1 cup sliced radish (mooli)
1 tbsp chilli powder
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp oil
salt to taste

For The Batter
1/2 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 tsp asafoetida (hing)
2 tsp hot oil
salt to taste
a pinch baking soda
oil to deep fry
  1. In a bowl, mix lemon juice, chilli powder, salt, oil. add mooli slices to it, mix well so that the mooli slices are well coated with it and keep aside for some time.
  2. Prepare the batter for bhajiya in semi thick consistency and heat the oil for deep frying.
  3. Dip each mooli slice with the coating in to the batter and deep fry it into the hot oil until brownish.
  4. Drain and serve hot.
