Bread Tikki recipe - How to make Bread Tikki

For The Tikki
2 cups besan (bengal gram flour)
1/2 tbsp ginger (adrak) paste
1 1/2 tbsp green chillies
3 chopped onions
1 tbsp curds (dahi)
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
oil for deep frying

Other Ingredients
2 slices of bread
oil for deep frying
2 grated cheese cubes
tomato ketchup for serving
For the tikki:

    For the tikki:
  1. Add 2 cups water to the besan and mix well
  2. Add the green chillis, ginger paste, onions ,curd and mix well.
  3. Add the salt and soda bi-carb and mix well so that no lumps remain.
  4. Add the coriander and mix well.
  5. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round flat tikkis.
  6. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the tikkis till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides.
  7. Drain and keep aside.

How to proceed

  1. Cut the each bread slice into 4 portions and keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the bread till they turn golden brown.
  3. Drain on an absorbent paper and keep aside.
  4. Just before serving, place one piece of bread in a plate and keep one tikki on it.
  5. Pour some ketchup on the tikki and spread some grated cheese
  6. Server hot.
