Tips for Masala Green Peas Chaat Recipe

1. Choose the Right Peas
Soak and cook dried green peas until just tender but not mushy this keeps the chaat with good texture and bite. Over-soft peas can make the chaat soggy.

2. Balance the Spice Levels
Adjust the amount of chilli powder and green chillies to your taste. If you prefer milder chaat, reduce chillies; for more heat, keep them a bit higher.

3. Use Fresh, Homemade Chutneys
Fresh green chutney and sweet tamarind chutney give the best flavour contrast. Homemade chutneys usually taste brighter and fresher than store-bought versions.

4. Add Curds Just Before Serving
Whisked curds add creaminess add them right before serving so they don’t turn watery.

5. Sprinkle Spices Evenly
When garnishing, sprinkle chilli powder and roasted cumin seed powder evenly for a well-rounded flavour in each bite.

6. Garnish for Crunch & Freshness
Potato salli (fried potato sticks) and fresh coriander add texture and freshness don’t skip them!

7. Serve Immediately
This chaat is best enjoyed immediately after assembling, so the textures remain crisp and the flavours vibrant.
