corn dosa is made from a batter of blended juicy sweet corn, small amount of besan which helps in binding, green chilli paste and coriander for flavour, salt and some water. The batter is cooked on a non stick pan with a little oil to make a scrumptious instant corn dosa that are of perfect colour and texture.

corn dosa is also called instant corn dosa as there is no fermentation required. So you can also call it no fermentation sweet corn dosa.

We made an innovative recipe which is different from the regular dosa. instant corn dosa is an innovative snack that can be had as a breakfast dosa or quick breakfast.

The sweet corn makes the corn dosa a bit on the sweet side which is then spiced with some green chilli paste and coriander. So have instant corn dosa with some green chutney.

It will be loved by all, especially kids!

Ingredients

For Corn Dosa
1 cup sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
5 tbsp besan (bengal gram flour)
1/2 tsp green chilli paste
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
salt to taste
1 tsp oil for greasing
4 tsp oil for cooking

For Serving With Corn Dosa

Method

For corn dosa

    For corn dosa
  1. Blend the sweet corn kernels in a mixer till smooth.
  2. Transfer the sweet corn mixture into a bowl, add all the remaining ingredients along with approx. ¼ cup of water and mix well to make a batter of dropping consistency.
  3. Heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it using ¼ tsp of oil.
  4. Pour a ladleful of the batter on the tava (griddle) and move the spoon in a circular motion to make a 150 mm. (6”) round dosa.
  5. Smear 1 tsp of oil around the edges and cook on a medium flame till the corn dosa turns light brown in colour from both the sides.
  6. Fold over to make a semi-circle or a roll.
  7. Repeat with the remaining batter to make 3 more corn dosas.
  8. Serve corn dosa immediately with coconut chutney or green chutney.

Batter for corn dosa

  1. To make the batter for corn dosa | instant corn dosa | no fermentation sweet corn dosa, measure a cup of corn and transfer to a mixer jar
  2. Blend the sweet corn kernels till smooth without adding any water.
  3. Transfer the sweet corn mixture into a bowl.
  4. Add all the remaining ingredients starting with besan, It will help in binding all the ingredients of the corn dosa batter.
  5. Add green chilli paste. Increase or decrease the quantity as per the spice you can handle.
  6. Add finely chopped coriander.
  7. Add salt to taste.
  8. Add approx. ¼ cup of water.
  9. Mix well to make a batter of dropping consistency. Our corn dosa batter is now ready.

How to make corn dosa

  1. To prepare quick corn dosa, heat a non-stick tava (griddle) and grease it using a little oil.
  2. Move the spoon in a circular motion to make a 150 mm. (6”) round dosa. Make big or small as per the size you like.
  3. Smear a little oil around the edges. You can make use of butter or ghee to prepare the corn dosa.
  4. Cook the corn dosa on a medium flame till the dosa turns light brown in colour from one side. Flip and cook the instant corn dosa | no fermentation sweet corn dosa till light brown on other side.
  5. Remove the corn dosa in a plate.
  6. Repeat with the remaining batter to make 3 more corn dosas.
  7. Serve immediately with coconut chutney or green chutney.
