Merry Macaroni
Reviewed October 21, 2010by Sia Mehta

truly a merry recipe! this macaroni is everyones favourite in my house. simple and delicious. my kid goes gaga over it and asks for more everytime. i make it as an excuse to incorporate veggies in her diet. i do my lil variations by eliminating peas and adding little cream and cheese....my mouths watering already!

Mango Soya Milkshake
Reviewed October 21, 2010by Sia Mehta

growing kids need a lot of nutrition especially protein, this milkshake does real wonders for kids. my daughter goes skating every alternate day when she comes back she needs something filling as well as healthy i usually make milkshakes or some snack for her. soyamilk has a distinct flavour but mango pulp masks its flavour and mango pieces add some excitement. once i served topped with a scoop of vanila icecream and some more mango pieces....it was a real treat!

Healthy Chivda
Reviewed October 21, 2010by Sia Mehta

this chivda is a boon for dieters as is very healthy. i liked that the peanuts and daria dal are not fried. i made for my mother in law who is diabetic and is restricted to eat high cal foods especially fried snacks. however i make some variations when i make for my daughter, i add roasted poha, cashewnuts and raisins too...it tastes good.

Green Pea and Corn Bhel
Reviewed October 21, 2010by Sia Mehta

this bhel looked so tempting in the photo that i could not stop myself from making it. reallquick snack that you can prepare within minutes. when my daughter comes home hungry i make it quite often for her and even my husband loves it as an evening snack. for spice try adding little phudina and coriander chutney...it really perks up the flavour.

Golzeme
Reviewed October 21, 2010by Sia Mehta

golzeme is without any doubt a 5 star recipe! so quick and easy to make...ingredients used can be easily found at home and can be made anytime in a jiffy. i even make golzeme with left over rotis for a quicker version. i also tried it with grated carrots adn cabbage for my daughter to further enhamce its nutritional value.

Crispy Rice Balls
Reviewed October 20, 2010by Sia Mehta

brilliant idea to use left overs...i make crispy rice balls to utilise the left-over rice. i do not like onions so i replaced it with grated cabbage. because of rice flour these rice balls really turn out crispy. first time when i made these balls they turned very oily may be because of soft batter (i did not measure the amount of water) so be very careful while adding water, add slowly as required and as mentioned.

Corn Parathas ( Growing Kids Recipe)
Reviewed October 19, 2010by Sia Mehta

very innovative recipe! i liked the corn and spinach combination. Knead the dough just a few minutes before making parathas as it turns soggy. i used both mozarella and cooking cheese in equal proportion and also sprinkled little chaat masala...try it for a variation.

Cheese Chilli Frisbees
Reviewed October 19, 2010by Sia Mehta

this is an easy-to-make jar snack...really very tasty too. goes well with tea or it can even be used as a base for any snack. i used it as a base for vegetable pizza and also served it as a starter with cheese dip. i always store them in bulk and use whenever in short of time.

Cheese and Broccoli Tikkis
Reviewed October 19, 2010by Sia Mehta

i was skeptical to try this recipe because of broccoli, but when i made these tikkis it was an instant hit amongst my fly. sania loved it so much that she did not realize it has broccoli in it. bread crumbs imparted crisp texture and it looked quite appealing. I made heart shaped tikkis as i could not manage to get star shaped mould..

Chatpata Chaat
Reviewed October 19, 2010by Sia Mehta

awesome! this recipe is a perfect evening snack, i make it for most parties.. so simple and quick. try adding chopped paneer pieces and finely choped green chillies for a spicy boost.

Chana Spinach Rice
Reviewed October 19, 2010by Sia Mehta

one in all dish...apt for lunch as it a balanced one dish meal. rice, veggies and pulse all blend well in this recipe. ginger garlic paste further enhances flavour however i avoid it when i make for my daughter. taste great with chilled curds or cucumber raita...a must try!

Burger
Reviewed October 19, 2010by Sia Mehta

i never encourage my kid for eating fast foods...especially pizzas, burgers etc. but this ones an exception as it is a healthy and nutritious recipe. tikkis are made with broken wheat and veggies what more can you ask for. good for health conscious like me, i also avoid cheese slice in it to further cut down on calories. it is a complete balanced meal for kids as it has cereal, cheese and veggies...

Banana Walnut Muffins
Reviewed October 19, 2010by Sia Mehta

i am an ardent tarla dalal fan just because of wonderful recipes like these she innovates. sania can gulp down any number of these delicious muffins with banana and walnut flavour. i too love walnuts and i add little extra amount than mentioned for the extra crunch. i tried to experiment with roasted cashewnut pieces but nothing can beat the walnuts. this recipe is so quick that i dont feel lazy to make it anytime however since sania and i both love it i make it in bulk and refrigerate. don't forget to warm it in micro before eating.

Baked Puris
Reviewed October 19, 2010by Sia Mehta

a multi grain puri that can be baked...yes a low cal snack that everyone in my family enjoys with evening tea. once i did not have methi at home so i added chopped coriander and it tasted equally good, but i personally like it with methi better as it adds its unique flavour. also try ading a little green chilli-ginger paste for extra spice.
