For paneer do pyaza
 

  1. To make paneer do pyaza, in a non-stick pan, heat 2 tbsp oil and shallow fry the paneer slices. Keep aside.
  2. In the same oil sauté onion cubes for few seconds and keep aside.
  3. In a deep pan, heat remaining oil and butter, add cinnamon stick, bayleaf, cloves, cardamom, cumin seeds, onions and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add ginger garlic paste, red chilli paste and tomatoes and sauté for 2 minutes.
  5. Add the tomato pulp, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander cumin sseds powder, garam masala and curd.
  6. Cook on medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes, while stirring occasionally.
  7. Add fried paneer slices, salt to taste, and 1 cup of hot water. Mix well and cook on medium flame for 3 to 4 minutes.
  8. Add kasuri methi, sautéed onion cubes. Mix well and cook for a minute.
  9. Serve paneer do pyaza hot with roti or naan of your choice.

This subzi recipe is great as it is semi dry and few ing and the taste is really really good, I served this with naan and dal makhani and my family relished it.
