Tamatar Ke Bhajiye recipe - How to make Tamatar Ke Bhajiye

Preparation Time:    Cooking Time:    Total Time:     Makes 4 servings

4 medium sized tomatoes , thinly sliced
oil for deep frying

To Be Mixed Together Into A Smooth Batter
1 cup besan (bengal gram flour)
water to make batter
salt to taste
a pinch of baking soda

To Be Mixed Into A Masala Powder
1 tsp coriander-cumin seeds (dhania-jeera) powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1 tsp red chilli powder
salt to taste
  1. Spread out the tomato slices on a plate and sprinkle the prepared masala on top of each slice .
  2. Take each slice n dip it in batter n put it hot oil for frying . Make sure the masala doesn't get mixed in batter when you are dipping it in batter.
  3. Also when you are frying masala side should be on top ;later can turn on other side for frying .
  4. Fry it on medium high heat till golden in color.
  5. Serve it with tea or ketchup.
