    Method:

    1. Karela as we all know is very healthy especially for diabetes. Here it is how it looks.
    2. Wash the bitter gourd using water. Select karela that are bigger and pale green in colour, and avoid those that are riper, with a slightly orange or red hue.
    3. If you dislike then remove the skin but, karela peel has many health benefits and we would suggest you to keep it. But, if you don’t like it then peel the karela. To read more about the health benefits of karela, check
    4. Cut the karela crosswise and lengthwise. You will now have four pieces of bitter gourd.
    5. Scoop out the seeds from each piece using a spoon and discard them.
    6. Place the clean outer green flesh of karela flat-side down on the cutting board. Chop them roughly and keep aside.
    7. Transfer the deseeded and roughly chopped bitter gourd to a mixer jar. If you have a juicer, you may use this instead of the mixer jar. Simply, add water, lemon juice, salt at the end and skip the step of straining the mixture.
    8. Add ½ cup of water in the mixer. Water can be increased if you want a more diluted karela juice. Also, you can replace water with any juice you like.
    9. Blend the karela till smooth.
    10. Place a sieve on a bowl and strain the mixture. Add ½ cup of water and strain to get the karela juice. Press with the help of a spoon over the mixture to strain out as much bitter gourd juice as possible. Check the concentration and add more water to adjust the consistency and texture.
    11. Add the lemon juice. Additionally, you can even add black salt and turmeric powder to the bitter gourd juice recipe. If diabetic, then do not add honey but, it can be added to reduce the bitterness from karela.
    12. Add the salt.
    13. Mix well & our karele ka juice is ready!
    14. Pour equal quantities of the Karela juice into 2 small glasses or 1 big glass and serve immediately for maximum benefits to build immunity.
    15. Apart from the karela juiceVeggie Boost Juice, Neem Juice, Apple Cinnamon Soya Shake, are some healthy drinks for diabetics
