Ingredients

For Beans On Toast
1 cup canned baked beans
6 bread slices , toasted and lightly buttered
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1/4 cup finely chopped spring onions whites
1/4 cup finely chopped capsicum
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp dry red chilli flakes (paprika)
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
salt to taste
2 tbsp finely chopped spring onion greens

For The Garnish
6 tbsp grated processed cheese
Method
For beans on toast

    For beans on toast
  1. Heat the butter in a broad non-stick pan, add the garlic and spring onion whites and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  2. Add the capsicum and sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
  3. Add the baked beans, oregano, chilli flakes, tomato ketchup and salt, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
  4. Add the spring onion greens, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 1 minute, while stirring occasionally.
  5. Divide the baked beans mixture into 6 portions and keep aside.
  6. Place the toasted and buttered toasts on a clean, dry surface with the buttered side facing upwards.
  7. Spread a portion of the baked beans mixture and sprinkle 1 tbsp of cheese evenly on each bread toast.
  8. Serve the beans on toast immediately.

For the topping:

How to proceed for Beans on Toast:

  1. Put 2 bread slices in a toaster.
  2. Toast the bread slices till they are golden brown in colour.
  3. Remove the bread slices from the toaster and place them on a clean and dry surface.
  4. Spead about ½  tsp of butter evenly on each slice. Keep the buttered side facing upwards.
  5. Spread a portion of the baked beans mixture on the toasted bread slices.
  6. Spread about 1 tbsp of cheese on each bread toast.
  7. Repeat the steps 2 more times to make 4 more toasts.
  8. Serve the Beans on toast immediately while its hot with tomato ketchup or any dip of your choice.

This is my favourite dinner recipe when im lazy to cook anything long after a long day at workk...This is just simple and quick and ready in just half an hour..we just sit and enjoy this for dinner while watching television...
