For Potato Cheese Garlic Tikki
1 1/2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes
1/2 cup grated processed cheese
2 tbsp finely chopped garlic (lehsun)
1/4 cup finely chopped onions
2 tbsp finely chopped mint leaves (phudina) leaves
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander (dhania)
2 tsp chilli powder
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp finely chopped almonds (badam)
salt to taste
oil for deep-frying

  1. To make potato cheese garlic tikki, combine all ingredients in a deep bowl and mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into 16 equal portions and shape each portion into a flat round tikki.
  3. Heat the oil in a deep non-stick pan and deep-fry, a few tikkis at a time, on a medium flame till they turn golden brown in colour from both the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  4. Serve the potato cheese garlic tikki immediately with green chutney.

Finely chopped garlic is like a major ingredient of this recipe…what flavour and aroma it gives!!.....Great combination of Potato, Cheese and yes!! Garlic!!...I make this tikki for my family, they not only love every bite of it.
