Spicy Spinach Dumplings, the bright green colour of this wholesome snack appeals to all our good senses!
We have used the technique of steaming instead of frying to make this a low-calorie evening snack that provides only 96 calories per serving. So, you can have 4 dumplings with healthy green chutney to make a snack amounting to less than 100 calories! Spinach is a treasure chest of essential vitamins like folic acid and vitamin A, which is essential of growth, maintenance and vitality.

Ingredients
Main Ingredients
1 1/2 cups finely chopped spinach (palak)
1 tsp green chilli paste
2 tbsp besan (Bengal gram flour)
1 1/2 tbsp whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
2 tsp low fat curds (dahi)
a pinch of asafoetida (hing)
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp oil
salt to taste
For Serving
Method
- Combine all the ingredients together in a deep bowl and mix well without using any water.
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a round ball.
- Arrange the dumplings on a 150 mm. (6") diameter greased thali and steam in a steamer for 7 to 8 minutes or till they are cooked.
- Serve immediately with healthy green chutney.

Quick and easy low-cal breakfast recipe for me!!...ginger-garlic paste is responsible for that nice flavour. Low-calorie evening snack that provides only 13 calories...perfect!!
