A delicious and novel cutlet recipe, rawa cutlet canbe prepared as a healthy and tasty snack for children within minutes. Simply mix teh semolina or rava with left over dals, vegetables,spice powders and shallow fry these rawa cutlets in hot oil. Enjoy the crispy and mildly spiced up rawa cutlets anytime of the day with ketchup.

Rawa Cutlet recipe - How to make Rawa Cutlet

1/2 ltr milk
120 gms (less than 1 cup) semolina (rava)
1/2 cup ghee
100 gms grated processed cheese
chopped green chillies to taste
1/2 tsp black pepper (kalimirch) powder
chopped coriander (dhania) leaves
cornflour mixed with water to deep the cutlets
bread crumbs to roll
oil to deep fry


  1. Boil milk.
  2. Add ghee & remove from stove.
  3. Mix rawa without lumps.
  4. Put back on fire & stir till rawa is cooked.
  5. Remove , add chopped green chillies, coriander leaves, pepper powder, cheese, salt & mix thoroughly.
  6. Cool & spread the mixture on a tray, cut into squares.
  7. Dip in cornflour paste, roll in bread crumbs and deep fry.
  8. Add salt carefully because cheese contains salt.
