Ingredients
1/2 cup rice (chawal)
2 tbsp oil
1 sized bottle gourd (doodhi / lauki) , peeled and chopped
2 tsp chopped garlic (lehsun)
1 slit green chilli , chopped
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 tbsp garam masala powder
1/4 tbsp cumin seeds (jeera)
Method
    Method
  1. Clean, wash and soak the rice in enough water for about 5-7 minutes. Keep aside.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan, add the bottle gourd and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, combine the rice, garlic, green chillies, cumin seeds, garam masala and blend in a mixer into a smooth paste.
  4. Add the salt and the grounded paste to the cooked bottle gourd, mix well and cook for around 10 minutes.
  5. Serve hot.
