Ingredients
Method


  1. Soak the beans first in warm water so that it will be ready by the time you are ready to start
  2. Chop the celery roughly.
  3. Chop the onions, tomato, green chillies
  4. Crush the ginger and garlic
  5. In a pressure cooker heat oil and when hot add mustard seeds to splutter.
  6. Add the cumin seeds.
  7. Add the onions, ginger garlic, green chillies and saute for a minute.
  8. Add the tomato.
  9. Add the powders and salt. (i usually mix them all in water and pour it)
  10. When the mix boils and the raw smell goes off add the soaked black eye beans.
  11. Add some water and let it boil for 2 min.
  12. Add the chopped celery and close the lid of the pressure cooker.
  13. Remove from fire after 3 whistles.
  14. Open and add the chopped fresh coriander leaves and serve with hot rotis.
