Potato and Spinach Tikkis recipe - How to make Potato and Spinach Tikkis

2 potatoes , boiled , peeled and chopped
2 cups chopped spinach (palak) , blanched
1/2 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
2 green chillies , finely chopped
1 onion , chopped
2 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
salt to taste
1 tbsp mint (phudina) paste
1 1/2 tsp rice flour (chawal ka atta)
1/2 tsp besan (bengal gram flour)
oil for cooking
  1. Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan,add the cumin seeds and when the seeds crackle, add the onions and green chillies and saute till onions turn brown in colour.
  2. Add the mint paste and ginger-garlic paste, mix well and saute for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the spinach and potato and mix well.
  4. Add the salt, mix well and cook on a slow flame for 3 minutes.
  5. Add the rice flour and besan, m,ix well and allow the mixture to stand for 2 more minutes.
  6. Remove from the flame, cool and knead into a dough.
  7. Divide the dough into equal portions and make tikkis out of each.
  8. Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry the tikkis till golden brown and crisp.
  9. Serve hot.

It nice and awesome. Good substitute of rice flour and besan for binding instead of bread crumbs...
