Mint Chocolate Cake recipe - How to make Mint Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

For The Cake
2 1/4 cups plain flour (maida)
4 1/2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tbsp white vinegar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
1 1/2 cups cold water

For The Icing
200 gms chocolate chips
1/4 cup boiled soymilk
1 tbsp peppermint essence
Method

For the cake

    For the cake
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°f.
  2. Lightly grease a 9- × 13-inch baking pan.
  3. Combine and mix the dry ingredients until blended well.
  4. Add the oil, water, vanilla essence and vinegar and mix gently.
  5. Once smooth, pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
  6. Let the cake cool completely before frosting with icing.

  1. Melt the chips in a saucepan over very low heat.
  2. Add the soyamilk and peppermint essence.
  3. Stir continuously, adding more soya milk or mint extract, until reaching the desired consistency and taste.
  4. Let icing cool completely before frosting the cake.

How to Proceed

    How to Proceed
  1. Apply yhe frosting on top of the cake evenly.
  2. Cut into equal wedges and serve.

  1. As each oven is different, after 20 minutes, check the cake by inserting a fork or knife into it. If the utensil comes out clean, than only it’s done

Can we use choclate sauce in place of vanilla essence.can normal milk be used.alternative for peppermint essence?
