Garlic paste is a major Indian culinary ingredient made by blending garlic cloves into a smooth, semi-liquid consistency. This paste is commonly used in cooking to add a concentrated garlic flavor to Indian dishes.
It's often preferred for its convenience and ability to distribute garlic flavor evenly throughout a recipe. Garlic paste can be used in various Indian cuisines and dishes, such as sabzis, sauces, stir-fries, to enhance the flavor and aroma of the food.
- To make garlic paste recipe, add 2 cups peeled garlic, salt and 2 tsp oil in the mixer jar and blend till smooth without using any water.
- Transfer the mixture in an airtight container, and store it in the refrigerator upto 1 week. Makes 18 tablespoons.
- If you want to store the homemade garlic paste for longer period, store it in the deep freezer in an airtight container or in an ice cube tray for upto two months and use as require.
