Sweet Moong Dal Bondas recipe - How to make Sweet Moong Dal Bondas

200 gms cooked moong (whole green gram)
4 tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
4 tbsp plain flour (maida)
pinch of baking soda
oil for deep-frying
  1. Drain the excess water from the moong, add the sugar and blend in a mixer to a coarse paste.
  2. Transfer in a bowl, add the cardamom powder, mix well and divide the mixture into 10 equal sized balls. Keep aside.
  3. Combine the maida with baking soda and 1 cup of water, mix well and make a thick paste. '
  4. Heat the oil in a kadhai, dip the balls in the paste and deep fry till light brown and crisp form all the sides.
  5. Drain on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
