A dosa recipe with a nice twist, the Snacky dosa is prepared from a batter made instantly by mixing maida with chopped onions, chillies, sugar and tomatoes. These crispy crunchy snacky dosas are best paired with green chutney.

2 cups plain flour (maida)
water enough to make a thin batter
1 big onion, finely chopped
2 small or 1 big tomato, finely chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder (haldi)
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp ginger-garlic (adrak-lehsun) paste
1/4 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)
salt to taste
sugar or jaggery (gur) to taste
1 onion with the tail to use while frying the dosa

  1. First take the maida and water and mix well till a thin batter is formed
  2. Then add the onion, tomato, chilly, tumeric powder, chilly powder, ginger garlic paste and mix well.
  3. Then add salt to taste and sugar/jaggery if needed
  4. Once the batter is ready take a dosa pan and with the onion dipped in oil should be rubbed on the pan.
  5. Then take a full spoon (curry spoon preferably) and spread the batter. once that looks like it has cooked turn it on its back and let that cook too
